Field Technicians

ERM is hiring Field Technicians to join our global consulting firm as part of our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Whitehorse/Mayo, YT.

The successful candidate will work with our team to complete archaeological field surveys.

Responsibilities

• Participating in survey and shovel testing.
• Assisting an ERM Archaeologist with data collection.
• Working in a team environment to meet productivity and safety goals.
• Fieldwork is shift‑work, up to five 12‑day shifts (including two travel days) to assist with pedestrian survey and shovel testing of landforms identified as having high archaeological potential and recording archaeological sites.
• The field surveys will include travel via truck and/or helicopter, and walking in variable terrain to observe, identify and record heritage features.
