Overview

Our client, a leader in the steel industry, is seeking a highly experienced Fire and Risk Officer (Manufacturing) to join their team based in Cato Ridge.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric- Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant certifications such as Fire Officer, Fire Inspector, or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in fire safety, risk management, or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with local fire and safety codes, emergency response procedures, and risk assessment practices.

Certifications

• Firefighter I & II certification (NFPA or equivalent). Fire Officer I certification (NFPA or equivalent).
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is often required.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification.
