Fire Prevention Officer

Position within the Department of Facilities Management and Planning at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The role ensures compliance of fire prevention and protection program, advising on requirements for new construction and renovation projects, reviewing fire and life safety systems, recommending preventive measures, evaluating risks and inspecting buildings.

Your responsibilities will include

• Conducting routine building inspections for fire and life safety issues
• Assessing and recommending corrective action to resolve code violations
• Implementing complex and technical emergency fire safety plans
• Identifying and implementing corrective actions to restore fire safety systems to full service
