Position Overview
Summary This position performs a variety of food service tasks preparing items that require little or no cooking. May also serve dishes cafeteria- or family-style as necessary. The incumbent serves as a Food Service Worker, providing assistance within the Food and Beverage department at snack bars, clubs or restaurants. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Performs tasks with several steps or sequence of tasks; sets up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food, including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages. Serves food cafeteria-style to diners. Serves tables family-style, by placing dishes of food on tables and refilling them as necessary. Makes coffee in large urns according to the number of servings desired, with the responsibility for timing and brewing.
