Benefits: This is a part-time, temporary position for the 2027 Texas Legislative Session, beginning fall 2026 and ending in or around May 2027. This position is based in Austin and requires attendance in TXCPA's Austin office and the ability to go to the Capitol on a regular basis. The Government Affairs Specialist will assist the TXCPA Government Affairs team in managing several aspects of the TXCPA advocacy program. The TXCPA Government Affairs Department manages the Society’s legislative and advocacy programs, PAC, Key Persons Program (grassroots advocacy), outside lobbyists, bill tracking, and state legislative relationships. This is a fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks and provide quick turnaround.
