High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are key markets for NVIDIA. Researchers and scientists actively embrace GPU programming to accelerate their workloads and research. To help them onboard to GPUs, NVIDIA is leading a series of GPU hackathons and bootcamps in partnership with national laboratories, universities and enterprises. Hackathons are short—typically week-long—intensive coding sessions where experienced mentors team up with groups of researchers and data scientists to guide them through the acceleration or optimization of their projects on GPUs using a variety of programming models and tools.
