The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction across the elementary curriculum while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. The teacher is responsible for the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development of students within their class and works collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure every child achieves success.
Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the American curriculum and AERO/Common Core standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Use a variety of effective teaching strategies to maximise student engagement and achievement.
- Deliver explicit instruction in reading, writing and mathematics.
- Implement school literacy initiatives including:
