Performs a variety of maintenance work contributing to the care and upkeep of the MSU Texas campus. This is accomplished by maintaining the safety and appearance of all grounds, working conscientiously near people, wildlife, vehicles, buildings, sculptures, and monuments, ensuring readiness of special event sites, maintaining safe and efficient operation of equipment, and completing related work as assigned. Reports directly to Grounds Superintendent and under general supervision of a Grounds Foreperson.

Participates in work such as trash cleanup, turf maintenance, trimming shrubs, installing plants, pruning trees, irrigation maintenance, application of pesticides, installing signs, hauling mulch, grading soil, minor construction, and minor pavement repair.May assist with maintenance of athletic facilities including artificial and natural turf.
