Groundsperson I

Nanaimo Ladysmith Public schools is seeking a reliable and safety‑conscious Groundsperson 1 (temporary) to support the maintenance and upkeep of school grounds and facilities. This seasonal role involves operating a variety of vehicles and equipment, performing general grounds and infrastructure maintenance, and assisting with the installation and upkeep of outdoor facilities. The successful candidate will be hands‑on, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure safe, well‑maintained school environments.

Assignment - Temporary, Spring thru to October. Hours : Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Wage : $28.41 per hour with 10.8% in lieu of vacation and statutory holidays.

Your Work

Working under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, you will perform a variety of duties related to the maintenance of the School District grounds.
