Title: Half-Time School Nurse (.5) with Benefits

Pay scale: Based on NBTA Contract (Includes Benefits)

Description: The school nurse provides immediate general first aid to the students, staff, and visitors at the school. They review immunization and physical exam records and arrange school physicals for students as required by school policy for those who do not choose to be examined by a private physician. They provide mandatory screenings as required by law and dispense medication to students as indicated by the doctor's prescription. The school nurse keeps the Building Principal(s) and the Director of Special Education Services apprised of building and student health and wellness issues. They communicate with parents and teachers concerning student health.
