About the Role

The HAP Accountant provides accurate and timely accounting support for Housing Authority Payment (HAP) programs, serving both internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures compliance by performing monthly audits and verifying that program requirements are consistently met.



Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial data for RTA packets for prospective residents


• Access Housing Authority portals to obtain and verify payment details


• Create receipt batches in Yardi and apply HAP payments accurately


• Research HAP and resident accounts receivable on resident ledgers to ensure correct payment application
