Head Chef
Greensleeves Care is looking for a Head Chef to manage kitchen operations in our 24‑hour residential, dementia and nursing care homes across England.
Responsibilities
- Draw up varied menus that incorporate choice, are balanced and meet special diet requirements (low‑fat, diabetic, religious or other).
- Cater for special occasions within the home.
- Control stocks and purchases, allocating quantities of materials.
- Keep purchases within allocated budgets.
- Ensure all kitchen hygiene and safety rules are observed by all colleagues.
Qualifications
- Relevant food hygiene and food preparation qualifications.
- Understanding of the importance of food for residents and of a balanced, varied diet.
- Experience of serving food in a professional environment.
