Job Description
1. Understands key networking components such as TV Headends, Earth Stations, Satellite and Off-Air Signal Acquisition, Aggregation, Encoding, Encryption, Middleware, Set Top Operation, and network routing/switching.
2. Accurately prepares timelines and costs for IPTV network expansion projects.
3. Performs IPTV network utilization/capacity analysis as needed and provides recommendations and designs that create growth and additional network resiliency.
4. Works with various equipment vendors extensively to make critical decisions dealing with equipment selection, implementation and troubleshooting of current and future network architecture.
5. Timely creates and maintains Visio diagrams/drawings of the FTTx/IPTV Network Infrastructure and any associated elements.
