Position Overview

Job Summary

San José State University’s Student Wellness Center (SWC) is dedicated to advancing the holistic health and well-being of its diverse student population. Reporting to the Director of Wellness and Health Promotion, The Health Promotion Specialist, Mental Health plays a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating campus-wide initiatives that promote mental health, resilience, and help-seeking behaviors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and lead mental health workshops and programs for students

Create and manage health education content and online resources

Train and support Peer Health Educators

Partner with campus and community groups to promote student well-being

Lead campus-wide mental health and prevention initiatives

Track program outcomes and make improvements based on data

Support events, meetings, and wellness center activities
