A Senior Healthcare Support Worker (SHCSW) supports registered healthcare professionals by performing delegated clinical, therapeutic, and non‑clinical tasks for patients, using their experience and knowledge to make decisions within their scope of practice.

Working effectively alongside Registered Nurses/Practitioners within the Department as required daily and to undertake supervision and where appropriate assist with the orientation of staff unfamiliar with the department.
