The purpose of this position is to repair defects in Brewster Equipment, to keep the fleet in as good mechanical condition as possible, to complete semi-annual inspections, and to remove, overhaul, rebuild and replace components of the buses at set mileages or time intervals to avoid failure on the road.

The position of HD Mechanic reports to the Shop Foreman or Maintenance Manager, and may have to work in co‑operation with the dispatcher and the drivers.
