I am currently representing Elmbridge Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Housing Standards Officer this role will be based at: KT10 9SD,
Week 1: 100% in office - Week 2 onwards: 2 days remote, 3 days district/office

The right candidate will:

* To deal with requests and complaints from members of the public about poor housing conditions, investigate and take appropriate action, including; property inspections, Identifying defects and hazards, statutory nuisances & overcrowding

* Provide guidance and oversight for complex cases while allowing the Property Standards and Empty Homes Officer to act as the operational lead for empty homes projects.
