Job description:

Long Island City based. Local 638B HVAC Contractor is seeking an equipment replacement specialist to join its Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating, planning, mobilization, and management of unit replacement projects. All candidates must have at least 7 years of hands-on technical field experience; installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC Systems. Familiarity with Package Units, Split Systems and Cooling Towers is required.

• Surveying existing field conditions and preparing a cost estimate for system replacements.

• Assisting, as needed, with the purchasing of equipment and Sub-Contractor services.

• Approving equipment submittals prior to release of equipment from manufacturers/supply houses.

• Outlining a time schedule for AFGO Labor and Sub-Contractors

• Overseeing the productivity of all labor to ensure successful project completion.
