RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs duties related to the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
• Is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chambers.
• Monitors and assesses patients in the chamber while undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and assists in related patient care and functions as a chamber operator.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, grasping, fingering, lifting up to ½ pound.
• Frequent: Sitting, standing, walking, bending/stooping below waist level, squatting, twisting, reaching above, at and below shoulders, repetitive arm/hand motion, lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Occasional: Kneeling, crouching, climbing, walking on uneven ground, horizontal lift/carry up to 75 pounds with assistance, floor to waist up to 35 pounds and pushing/pulling weight to 70 psi.
