General Summary

The Electrical & Mechanical Technician performs electrical work at the journey level in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems within the Electrical Mechanical Section. At the Anaerobic Digestion/Combined Heat & Power (AD/CHP) facility, the Electrical & Mechanical Technician also shares in the effective operation and maintenance of facility’s equipment. Essential Functions

Oversees subordinate Electrical Mechanics

Determines reasons for wear and repairs various types of mechanical items such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, screens, valves, fans, etc. and makes appropriate repairs/recommendations for prevention

Replaces belts, bearings, couplings, chains, bearings, sprockets, augers, shafts, grease lines and flights as necessary and makes appropriate repairs/recommendations for prevention
