The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

**Required qualifications:**



+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.

+ Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
