Job Title: Inspection Specialist - Licensing - North

Hours of Work : 36.25 hours per week

Compensation : $2,746.42 to $3,617.21 bi‑weekly ($71,682-$94,409 per year)

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of provincially licensed meat facilities to determine compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Assess and prioritize non‑conformances using a risk and science‑based approach that targets the most critical risks.
• Communicate with MDIS staff and other stakeholders regarding applicant/operator compliance and licence status.
• Collect and submit samples as required to support inspection, enforcement and surveillance activities.
• Provide technical advice on the review of construction and renovation plans for meat facilities.
