**Job Description**
The Metals Inspector observes and monitors incoming scrap metal deliveries to verify they meet quality and quantity specifications while consistently following Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. This role supports daily production operations, including receiving and stockpiling materials, and requires a solid understanding of raw materials, production processes, and techniques that ensure efficient receipt and transfer of quality product in a busy scrap metal yard.

**Responsibilities**

+ Inspect incoming shipments of scrap metal received via truck, rail car, or ship to ensure they meet established specifications and comply with scrap acceptance policies.
+ Verify that all materials are free from environmental hazards and reject or flag nonconforming loads as required.
