The individual in the role is required to develop foundational filming and video editing skills under the supervision and mentorship of the Executive Producer and senior cameramen within Current Affairs. The intern assists in capturing and delivering broadcast-ready visual content, learns to operate and maintain an ENG kit, and is exposed to the full production process from filming through to editing, while building strong working relationships within the production team and progressing towards independent operational competence.

Filming

Under the guidance of the producer and senior cameraman, assists with and learns to plan and develop the visual presentation of inserts, gradually building skill in creative and technical filming techniques.
Learns to set up optimal lighting and to record sound of excellent quality, under supervision.

Films sequences in continuity for editing purposes and ingests and labels all footage.
