Established in , the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan is the central executive body responsible for the implementation of the unified state policy in the field of innovation and digitalization. As a relatively new entity, the Agency faces challenges in providing capacity-building initiatives for its staff, which consists of young professionals and former civil servants who previously worked in sectors largely unrelated to digitalization and commerce. This is particularly important in light of the ongoing E-commerce Programme for , in which the Agency is expected to play a leading role as an advisory board member, providing insights and proposals for improvements and recommendations.
