Summary This position is located in the Office of Civil Rights and Ombudsman (S/OCR), Office of the Secretary of State, U.S. Department of State. S/OCR manages the Department's internal civil rights programs and policies, primarily the Department's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program and Anti-Harassment Program. The Investigative Specialist handles all phases of investigations. Responsibilities Conducts virtual and in-person interviews, takes thorough notes, and obtains sworn affidavits from relevant parties. Develops and applies a variety of methods, techniques, and procedures to gather and analyze evidence for discrimination claims. Gathers information and collects documentary evidence on allegations of discrimination during case intake phase through questionnaires or interviews with complainants to determine the direction of an investigation.
