About the opportunity

In this role, you will help maintain the parks and sports fields in Prince George, ensuring they remain green and well-kept. Your responsibilities will include installing and maintaining turf grass and irrigation systems, as well as performing tasks related to turf construction and maintenance. This encompasses activities such as landscaping, turf repair, irrigation repair and installation, topdressing, overseeding, aerating, fertilizing, sweeping, and mowing. Summer seasonal positions are subject to annual layoff and recall.

Qualifications

• Completed Grade 12 education.
• Certified Irrigation Technician Level 1 certification from the Irrigation Association of BC.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a skilled position.
• Preferred: supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Level 1 First Aid certification, or must obtain within six months.
• Valid full-privilege Class 5 driver's license...
