IT Data Architect - Azure | Sandton (On-site)

A leader in alternative risk and insurance solutions is looking for a senior Data Architect to design and drive modern, enterprise-scale Azure data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable Azure data platforms (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, SQL)
• Lead data modernisation from legacy to cloud
• Enable analytics & BI (Power BI) across the business

Non‑negotiable Qualifications

• Strong data modelling experience (star/snowflake, semantic layers)
• Proven Databricks experience (hands‑on)
• Experience managing large‑scale data environments / multiple data lakes
• Strong focus on data quality frameworks and monitoring
• 7+ years in enterprise data architecture
