Program Overview

Iyeskuwiiu is a culturally relevant college program for Eeyou‑Eenou students in Eeyou Istchee, consisting of a two‑semester springboard to DCS that provides a culturally‑rooted preparation year for further academic skills and cultural pride.

Position

Qualified instructors are needed for Fall 2026 (August 17 – December 4, 2026) to teach FRENCH SECOND LANGUAGE (602).

Responsibilities

Deliver French second language instruction to Eeyou‑Eenou students using culturally relevant pedagogy, develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in French Language Education, Linguistics, French Literature or an equivalent degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to culturally relevant, sensitive, and appropriate pedagogy.
