Job Description

The mission of the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention is to prevent environmental disease in homes, communities, and the workplace, and to protect health by promoting healthy environments and health equity. The Bureau is comprised of four Programs - Healthy Homes, Office of Environmental Investigations, Environmental Exposure Assessment and Education, and Poison Control Center.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Provides care coordination for lead poisoned children and pregnant individuals
- Identifies possible lead hazards in the environment of lead-poisoned children and pregnant individuals and recommends ways to limit their lead exposure.
- Participates in the development and implementation of measures to prevent lead exposure
- Provides information to the public and medical community on lead poisoning prevention
- Performs other duties as assigned
