**What is BPA/UMPA?**
It’s a meaningful position working closely with a disabled individual who has the need for physical assistance to accomplish responsibilities and goals in and outside of the home. Similar to how a wheelchair helps one go, a BPA helps a disabled person live a good, productive life. By, helping be my arms and legs when they don’t cooperate.
**Who am I?**
In this position, you’d be working with a kindhearted 42 year old disabled mother, who lives together with her 3 children, doting spouse and hypoallergenic dog. Once an abled professional artist and writer— now disabled— she understands the meaning of living a full life. Although her body has reduced in physical function, her cognitive ability and motivation to perform her personal responsibilities have not reduced in size, nor importance. Prior to disability, she had established a home, family and career, and wishes to maintain these ties with support of BPA. Motherhood comes first, but when her body allow...
