Position Overview

            Prep Work:  Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry. 
Station Setup:  Measure and weigh ingredients, and set up or break down workstations before and after shifts. 
Simple Cooking:  Assist the cook with making stocks, sauces, or simple dishes. 
Dishwashing:  Wash pots, pans, utensils, and serving ware using dishwashers or by hand. 
Surface Sanitization:  Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, kitchen walls, and work surfaces in accordance with health codes. 
Waste Management:  Safely dispose of kitchen garbage, separate recycling, and wash garbage bins. 
Equipment Cleaning:  Keep large equipment like grills, ovens, and mixers clean and maintained. 
Deliveries:  Unload, unpack, and organize fresh food and supply deliveries in storerooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
