Position Overview
Join the L. A. Miller Center as an Orthotic Technician IVC, focusing on the fabrication of assistive devices. This full-time role directly impacts client well-being through your technical expertise in prosthetics.
In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing orthotic devices that support rehabilitation efforts. Reporting to a certified Orthotist, you will use your skills in plasterwork, molding, and assembly, ensuring devices meet the specific needs of clients while maintaining high safety standards during fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and fabricate custom orthotic solutions
• File and process orthopedic prescriptions accurately
• Operate fabrication machinery, ensuring precise measurements
• Lift and assemble components effectively
• Mentor volunteers or students in the fabrication process
Requirements:
• Formal training in Prosthetics and Orthotics is mandatory
