The Laboratory Assistant, under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager, is responsible for providing general assistance to laboratory personnel. Specific duties and skills will vary based on the assigned laboratory section.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biology or relevant field preferred
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Phlebotomy certification may be required per state/contract
+ One year experience working in a laboratory setting preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
