Position Overview

            Conduct routine laboratory safety inspections risk assessments as applicable 
Monitor hazardous chemical management system as per applicable legal & other requirements 
Monitor review and maintain laboratory-specific safety procedures as applicable 
Ensure that Incident Investigation is in place across laboratories and the availability of necessary records 
Monitor & coordinate potential emergency preparedness response within the scope of laboratory activities 
Provide laboratory safety training inductions and refresher programs for staff contractors interns and visitors. 
Ensure availability suitability and correct use of PPE based on risk management 
Conduct laboratory safety audits inspections and regulatory authority visits wherever required 
Monitor & manage University Chemical Management System (UCMS) Project in co-ordination with OHS Manager & relevant stakeholders as applicable.
