Classified Vacancy:

Laborer, P/T- 12 month position

Approximate hours 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm Monday - Friday

(school recess and summer hours, adjusted to building needs)



Part -time positions receive paid personal and leave days and are eligible for membership in the NYS Retirement System.



Distinguishing Features of the Class

The work involves performing routine manual labor, requiring physical endurance and a willingness to perform a variety of routine and repetitive tasks. Direct supervision is received from a variety of higher-ranking employees who create work assignments and review work completed.

Typical Work Activities include but are not limited to:


+ Working independently and in conjunction with head custodians, custodians, maintenance mechanics, groundworkers, and other classifications to complete tasks.
