Position Laser Programmer/Operator Reports to Plant Manager FLSA Status Non-Exempt EEO Classification Laborer Purpose The purpose of the Laser Operator/Programmer is to operate and maintain laser cutting machines to cut and engrave parts and products according to specifications. They inspect parts and products to ensure they meet customer expectations and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Additionally, they may be responsible for programming the laser cutting machines, performing routine maintenance and keeping accurate records of production. Essential Duties Prepare and operate laser cutting machines Ensure quality of finished parts Perform regular routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machines Program and optimize laser cutting processes Select and adjust materials Check and inspect finished parts Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
