Salary: $41,600 - $43,680


Under minimum supervision, the Layup Technician performs hand layup of advanced composite aircraft components on complex tooling (molds) following specific work instructions. The Layup Technician will work with a variety of materials, including carbon and fiberglass cloths impregnated with epoxy resin, and honeycomb core. The Layup Technician will utilize a variety of hand layup techniques and would also utilize a laser projection system to assist with the layup operation. The Layup Technician may also be required to prepare tooling (molds) for the layup process and prepare the component for autoclave or oven cure by applying a vacuum bag.
