Description
This individual will serve as both a technical leader and hands-on developer, managing a team of three software engineers while collaborating directly with researchers, veterinarians, administrators, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable software solutions. The Lead Software Engineer will oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, code reviews, and ongoing application support.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred), 5+ years of software development experience, and at least 2 years of leadership or people management experience. Strong experience with Node.js, JavaScript, Vue.js or React.js, GraphQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and full-stack web application development is required.
