The Lead Technician is responsible for independently and as part of a team carrying out bolt torquing, tensioning, and related maintenance activities in oil & gas, petrochemical, and process plant environments. Ensures safe, efficient, and leak-free operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Execute hydraulic, pneumatic, and manual bolt torquing and hydraulic bolt tensioning.
- Perform nut splitting, flange spreading, and alignment tasks.
- Select, set up, and maintain tools and consumables for each job.
- Follow work instructions to achieve correct torque/tension values and sequences.
- Maintain accurate job records and complete flange tightening reports.
- Troubleshoot issues like damaged threads, fasteners, or gasket failures.
