Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
The LSA supports students with learning and development across the curriculum, working closely with teachers and the school community to promote positive progress and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with groups and individuals to support learning across the curriculum under the direction of the teacher, including delivering intervention programmes.
- Encourage independence by guiding pupils to achieve their objectives through questioning, dialogue, demonstration, and modelling.
- Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the class and school, such as preparing resources and maintaining specific areas.
- Engage pupils in meaningful talk to develop language skills and build relationships.
