Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Lease & Open Space Advisor to provide expert guidance on the management, leasing, and policy frameworks that shape Rotorua’s parks and open spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy development, ensure statutory compliance, oversee lease activity, and support consistent, informed decision‑making across Council.
• Work closely with lessees, community groups, mana whenua, and internal teams to strengthen how we manage our open spaces, ensuring leasing arrangements are effectively administered.
• Contribute to Reserve Management Plan reviews, monitor legislative changes, and provide high‑quality analysis and advice on open space issues.
