Position Overview:
We are seeking a Leasing Law Clerk for a temporary contract (18 months, with possibility of extension) to support our Legal team to cover a team member who has taken maternity leave. This role is ideal for candidates seeking short-term employment or contract work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Review, negotiate and draft documents for a full range of real estate transactions including leases, offers to lease, letters of intent, amending agreements, extensions, surrenders, easements, restrictive covenants, estoppels, and license agreements.Conduct analysis and prepare legal opinions regarding the interpretation of leases and related agreements.Advise business colleagues and draft correspondence in relation to landlord/tenant disputes.Liaise with external counsel, as necessary.Assist with real estate project tracking, including status updates, deadline monit...
