LGV Drivers Needed

Pay: £20.28 - £27.33 per hour

Hackney Council is looking for experienced LGV Drivers to join our team and help keep Hackney cleaner, safer, and greener - a place for everyone.

As an LGV Driver, you'll play a vital role in supporting our waste services, including:

Street cleansing
Waste transfer station operations
Gully cleaning
Winter gritting
Refuse and recycling collectionsYou'll drive a variety of Category C vehicles, including specialist vehicles such as roll-on/roll-off trucks, skips, and mechanical brooms. Our teams work across the borough day and night, all year round, tackling everything from graffiti removal to fly-tipping and stray dogs.

What you'll do

Inspect and maintain your vehicle, ensuring work is carried out safely and securely
Keep accurate driver records and incident reports
Use digital devices to record work
Follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and the public...
