Responsibilities Assist students with homework assignments and provide academic support in a variety of subjects. Help students in the library focus on learning skills, develop good homework and study habits, use appropriate learning strategies, and find resources for completing homework assignments. Demonstrate and assist students and parents with the use of a homework help database. Reinforce learning concepts that are evident in homework assignments. Talk with caregivers and parents about homework strategies, study skills, and general academic support. Find and/or create handouts and learning materials that reinforce learning concepts when homework is complete. Prepare the learning environment for students, ensuring pens, pencils, paper, and other supplies are readily available. Track student attendance and parent participation; brief monthly narrative.
