JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to the Director of Care and working under the general supervision of a Registered nurse following the competency guidelines within the standards of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) and current legislative scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training

Graduation from a recognized program for practical nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides leadership in day-to-day operations:
• Supervises staff and assigns work
• Utilizes knowledge and clinical expertise in gerentological nursing by being a clinical resource to the care team and by providing support to staff on care-planning, assessment, skills development, and adherence to policies.
