**Description**

A Light Equipment Operator I is responsible for operating Trencher (sit down rider), Pile Driver (sit down rider), Forklift (extending boom), Skid Steer, Backhoe, and Excavator to support construction projects. They may also perform manual labor tasks as needed and are often involved in basic equipment maintenance.



+ Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Trencher (sit down rider), Pile Driver (sit down rider), Forklift (extending boom), Skid Steer, Backhoe, and Excavator

+ Prepare construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation

+ Dig holes, trenches, and excavate material

+ Drive pilings into the ground for foundations and other structural support
