Linux Software Development Engineer

Become part of our SWARCO team as a Linux Software Development Engineer working on the UK integration of the most widely deployed Traffic Light Controller in the world. We design and deliver innovative solutions that keep people moving safely and efficiently across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Develop Linux software for a traffic light controller in the UK.
• Co‑develop supporting tools, primarily in Python.
• Build an understanding of regulations, market requirements and traffic control in the UK and turn that into actionable changes for a global product in a local market.
• Implement, document and test software solutions using C++ and possibly GoLang and/or Python.
• Design new applications and enhance existing ones.
