Responsibilities

• Classify merchandise according to customs government regulations, restrictions, and import/export duty rates.
• Fill entry forms based on commodity.
• Interface with customers on customs-related issues.
• Type or otherwise prepare various operations reports.
• Maintain and audit all records and files as assigned.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to Manager.
• Help lift and move packages within the bonded area when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment.
• Eighteen months experience in customs clearance broker activities.
• Knowledge of import and export duty rates.
• General office skills including light typing, filing, and computer literacy.
• Good communication and human relations skills.
