Logistics Manager

Our client, based in Durban, is looking for a Logistics Manager to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all logistics management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, inventory management, projects and assessing budget.
2. Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
3. Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries.
4. Supervise logistics, storage, transportation, third party service providers and customer service levels.
5. Respond to issues and complaints both internal and external.
6. Research and implement ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
7. Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
8. Create, maintain, and evaluate budgets and expenditures.
9. Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
